Sierra Vista is proud to be one of the most active NPDL schools in HLPUSD.

Forensic Science

Students are offered Forensic Science. We like to call it "CSI: Sierra Vista"!

Students receive daily instruction in note-taking, time management, study skills, organization, reading, and wrting.

Visual and Performing Arts

Sierra Vista is home to our award-winning Viking Band, Art and Music Appreciation, and Drama electives.

About Us

Sierra Vista lies in the heart of the scenic, spacious community of La Puente. Sierra Vista Middle School is one of 10 middle schools in the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District and serves students in grades 7 and 8.

The school recently celebrated its 50th anniversary and leads the district in teaching pedagogies across many academic areas. Sierra Vista students continue to show improvement in key academic and climate indicators.

Sierra Vista is a California Gold Ribbon, National Title I Achieving, and California Civic Learning Award recipient school with a focus on both academics and community, creating well-rounded students.
